Type Locality and Naming
The type section is in Dite Deme-Yinkiong road. Arunachal Pradesh, a sequence of argillo-arenaceous sedimentary rocks associated with basic volcanics mapped around Yinkiong in the Siang valley. Lithology and Thickness
Volcanic and continental facies. Purple and pale green shales, sandstones, black shale, nodular grey shale, quartzite (occasionally calcareous). Its thickness is about 2774 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Unconformity over Yamne Fm (Permian).
Upper contact
Gradational contact with overlying Dalbuing Fm.
Regional extent
Easternmost Lesser Himalayas.
